I was going to take the crew up to the Missouri tomorrow morning for a couple days. After pulling up the forecast for the Great Falls area I thought maybe we should wait until Monday. They are prediciting wind gusts for the next couple days of 45 to 50 mph and when they call for strong winds up there, they mean it. By Monday it’s supposed to be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. Perfect conditions for baetis and streamers.

It was a bit breezy on the Big Hole today but right now just before sundown it’s calm and the fish are rising all over the river. You might think why isn’t he on the river fishing then? I have a date with a big juicy rib steak down at the Hitching Post and I’ve been thinking about it all day. The fish will be there tomorrow.
