Big Hole River 2200 cfs

Wild and free is about the best way I can describe the Big Hole River. A beautiful freestone at times but when it gets wild it really gets wild as seen in that photo. The force of the river with those ice jams is unreal. That photo is the parking lot at lower sportsmen access.

The river is dropping almost as fast as it came up. It spiked at almost 7000 cfs and in the last couple days has dropped to almost 2000. By this weekend it should be in pretty good shape and improving daily.
