The Big Hole has dropped 250cfs today, down to 1650 and it’s starting to get some clarity. I drove up river yesterday, all the way to Fish Trap. LaMarche, Fish Trap and Seymour creeks were all flowing quite clear. The only one that had a little turbidity was Deep Creek and even Wise River was not very high or dirty, so the Big Hole should clear fairly quickly. All this water is not from snow pack run-off, just from all the rain we have had the last few days. I have heard reports that the Pintlar and Pioneer mountains have received up to twenty inches of new snow. All this will eventually come down the Big Hole drainage.
We will be floating the upper river tomorrow and will give a report on that tomorrow evening.
