Fall Colors

Big Hole 325 cfs Jefferson 683 cfs

The next couple weeks the scenery along rivers in Montana is simply fantastic. The leaves are just starting to turn color along the Big Hole and Jefferson Rivers and as an added bonus, the fishing is good. This is one of my most favorite times to float the river. No crowds, good fishing, great scenery–what more could you ask.

The next R&D trip will probably be to the Missouri. Great streamer action and the baetis should start happening up there as well. The Big Hole, the Jefferson, the Missouri,—their are just too many rivers to fish that are fishing good now and not enough time.
