Blown Out

Big Hole River 2500 cfs Maidenrock

Well two days of 85 degree weather with strong winds have again proved me wrong. This is I believe to be the main runoff, especially after taking a trip upriver and seeing all the tribs. coming in bank full. This is two to three weeks early than normal.

At 2500 the river is not that high but the visibility is down to about a foot.

I think a lot of the predictions for high flow this year will be way off. Not too late, if you want to change after consulting with your crystal ball, please do so.

I got the pics from Linda at Andros Island of that shark bit dingy  and  will post them tomorrow.

For  now I will call the river blown out but that could  change later this week with the much cooler weather.

Stay tuned.
