Big Hole River 923 cfs   Beaverhead River 355 cfs.    Visibiliity, 2 feet

What a shock to the system. Going from hot and humid to cold and snowy. Actually it’s not that bad with day time temps. going to 50.

The Big Hole River is in excellent condition and at this level using a drift boat would be no problem. I took a drive yesterday as far as Fishtrap access and up there the river is still frozen in a few places. In this area it  is wide open with just a little shelf ice here and there.

Nymphs and streamers are the flies of choice now but the top water action  with skwalas is not far away.

I got the  shop  open and it is turning out great. I will have directional signs up along Hwy. 43 in a week or  so. It’s easy to find.  Just go about 2 miles west of Divide and turn right on Pumpstation Rd. It’s just before you cross the Divide bridge. It’s right across the street from the pump station.
