April Opening: Bugger, Worms, Turds, and Renovations

The weather is finally looking like spring and the fishing has been great, now that the flood from the ice jam has left us sitting just below 2000 cfs and holding.  Fishing has been great the last couple of days.  Al and Bobby went for a spin and Bob managed to land a 19 in brown on a black wooly bugger under an indicator.  The skwallas have been spotted from Jerry Creek down to Pennington, but not a lot of folks getting them on top yet.  If the water would warm up a bit the dry fly fishing would certainly improve.

On a different note, the shop has been given a facelift.  Juice box, Lia, Evan, Kevin, and I have spent the better part of the last week making some big changes.  Lia and I are going to be living and working at GDO for the summer and wanted to make the shop a little more user friendly.  We smashed a couple walls, removed a ceiling, and had a hell of a burning party to celebrate our opening day.  Here are a few shots of the new shop set up.  Stay tuned for more fishing updates from Bernard Kailey, who is guiding GDO’s first trip today.
