The river is up, but the water has been dropping for 3 days straight. The temps have been cold, but stable, making for some good spring fishing. Most of the good fishing is still in the afternoon, but the BWO are showing up in the morning, so look for sippers in those foam pockets in the canyon if the wind is calm. The skwallas are still elusive, a few fish are getting caught on black/purple chubby’s with a BWO off the back. The nymphing is still the spring standard of turds, worms, and BWO nymphs. The streamer bite is also coming around with fish moving for yellow ( yummies and JJ’s), and silver (sparkle minnows). Swing by the shop or give us a call for daily updates or to book your float trip. The weather is looking great during the middle of next week and we still have some openings with Craig and Al.
*there was some confusion last week while Lia, John, and I were on the Smith River. Someone called to book a day and they were quoted a different price. Please forgive the old boys (Al, Art, Bobby), for they know not what they do, but we love them all the same!
