Their is a steady rain falling at this very moment and the river is higher than it has been in 3 weeks. Dancin Hansen must have been doing his rain dance all night. In light of the weather I decided not to float the Jefferson today but rather drive over there in the comfort of my Jeep to check it out.
I have been taking some heat from some of the ranchers and they state that my actions have made all of them look bad. This was never my intention what so ever and I apologize to them if they feel that way. The majority of the ranchers in this valley are responsible water users and care a lot about the river. My sole purpose was to get rid of those two dams which were blocking the entire river. I have been living in this valley for over 25 years and always have had a good relationship with my neighbors and hope it will continue.
