Big Hole River 1310 cfs
On fire and I’m not talking about the wild fires around the country. Today was good but yesterday was hot on top water. Yellow stones and big mayflies produced all day. Little slow starting in the morning but picked up and got better all day. Even caught several nice browns in the dead zone, not that’s good fishing.
Craig had braggin rights today with a 21 inch brown on a #16 dry fly tied on 5x. Not bad for a beginner.
Looks like a little rain comin right about now—that would be a good thing. Warm for tomorrow and a little breezy, wouldn’t you guess. The wind the other day hit gusts of 60 and blew away my new gazebo.
