Big Hole River 400 cfs
Here is a list of the flies we used today that worked. Chubby chernoble, para hopper, cin. ant, black ant, purple trude, purble haze, caddis, rabbit streamer, olive bugger, and a couple bead nymphs thrown in. San whammy never got a sniff. All in all a good day fishing. When the clouds moved in we would change patterns and that worked. Hooked a couple big boys on streamers. I usually don’t change that much but Bob was all for trying different patterns. We just went with the idea that if the current pattern was working mayby the next will be better and it worked that way. It was almost like a R&D trip. Fun day with lots of action and Bob could get the job done. His only problem was with dealing with the wind with his high end noodle rods. I won’t mention any brands but lots of you know which.
Forecast is for warmer next few days with lots of top water action. Get er done now cuz soon snow flakes will be fallin.
