Big Hole River 2180—Maidenrock, Mudd Ck. bridge 1450 cfs.
Well the crik did rise and did it ever. The flow at Mudd Ck. bridge more than doubled. This made for some tough fishing conditions today. This morning it was really slow, so slow I even went to the dark side for awhile. That didn’t last too long though. The afternoon fishing picked up on top with mayfly patterns and a few on chubby’s.
I see by the graph the river is still rising. This is actually a good thing. It means more water in the river for later this summer. The down side is the fishing went from great to just barely fair. It should level off by tomorrow and start fishing better then.
If you have not tried one of Lacey’s lunches from her catering trailer you don’t know what your missing.
