Big Hole River 4500 cfs and dropping

The river hit a level of 5000 cfs and now  is on the decline. Fishing was just ok from the reports I got today but should improve with every day. Don’t think for a moment that 5000 was the crest for this year. It will continue to drop with this cool weather and then in a couple weeks if it gets really warm the flood gates will open. With luck it will stay cool and come off gradually. There is a lot of snow up there in the high country yet and that is a good thing.

Ok so Mike commented about that big rainbow on the last post. He said it looked like a pond in the back ground and not the river. To tell you the truth, I never did say where we caught it. So for a little fun, how many of you think it was the river and how many think a pond?
