The Big Hole River is temporarily out of order. When I told this certain gal about a week ago to do her special rain dance, I didn’t realize it would be that effective. It’s been raining for three days and the river has come up to 1900cfs. As soon as it levels off and starts to recede a bit it will fish again. The Big Hole clears up fairly quickly. Even though it knocks the fishing out for a few days, every one is happy, the ranchers, fisherman, forest service etc.

The flow on the Dearborn which dumps into the Missouri just north of Craig is an unbelievable 3500cfs this morning. The entire Missouri below Holter is only 3200cfs.

I look for the Big Hole to stabalize in the next couple days. Will keep you informed.
