Big Hole River 1940 cfs, temp. 55
A little rain, a little wind and a lot of top water action. Caddis, bwo’s, yellow sally’s and chernoble ants all caught fish today. We started out with a six inch rainbow, well more likely five inches and went up from there. It was a great day with dry fly’s. At times I wanted to I wanted to try some streamers because I know they would have worked but they were having too much fun on top. We had to keep changing fly’s, but we pretty much figured them out. The chernoble ant pattern made the day when I tied it on and they looked at me as if I had been in the sun too long–made believers out of them.
