Big Hole River 1010 cfs. Water temp. — around 50
Roger and I did an afternoon run way up river (fish trap area) and I was a bit disappointed. We caught some nice fish but I was looking for Big Walter who moves up in that area at times. We caught some nice brook trout in the 14 inch range which are dandy brooks. The only brown trout I saw is when I threw a yellow screamer in this shallow riffle and this fish exploded on it but never hooked up.
The flow remains stable but we did have some major thunder storms roll through late this afternoon which may bring it up a bit.
Art called a bit ago from Denver on his way back from Andros Island ( I think he wants a ride from the airport later tonight) After being there for over a month he said he’s ready for a brown trout fix.
