Big Hole River 1760 cfs
There are still a few golden stones around and an occasional salmon fly but that hatch is just about over with. Now it’s back to normal fishing. We caught a lot fish today mainly on may fly patterns. There were pmd’s, drakes , caddis and small stone fly’s coming off most of the day. We caught several rainbows in the middle of the river.
Starting tomorrow the river will be much more peaceful. The forecast is for 50% chance of rain so it should be another good day.
There were no mishaps on the river today as far as I know of. No one lost, and no one floating down the irrigation ditch through Jack’s hay field.
