Big Hole River 2810 cfs—Maidenrock
With the return of cold weather the river is dropping fast and clearing. The visibility is getting close to two feet. The fishing for this next week should be good. Only problem is the forecast for the next five days is cold and snow and breezy. Just one of those conditions is enough to make me just want to hang around the wood stove. For those who venture out those are prime streamer conditions.
Now for a little grocery shopping hint. If you go to a store and stop by the frozen fish department—be very careful what you purchase. If you see frozen Alaska salmon fillets in a red bag, read the fine print. If the fine print says, product of China, don’t buy it—-trust me on this one.
