Big Hole River 1420 cfs, Maidenrock—1740 cfs Melrose
The river has dropped almost a thousand cfs from a few days ago. It has been cold with light snow. The weekend is looking very good with at or above normal temps. Just a little more clarity along the banks and the river is ready to fish.
Tony and friend landed on Andros Island yesterday and Jim and Sandee decided they were not ready to come home yet (probably read the weather report) so they changed their flights and are staying another week. That means I should get some good fishing reports from those guys soon.
Guide Tommy Kee reported they jumped nine tarpon the last trip to the west side. The fish refused the fly until they changed tactics and let it sink deeper before stripping and that worked.
