Big Hole River 3860 cfs, temp. 49, visibility 3 feet
There were very few boats on the river for the start of the Memorial Day weekend. No pleasure floaters at all but just the hand full of die hard fly fisherman. For the ones who braved the conditions, they were rewarded big time. I had several folks come in the shop to reload their streamer supply. They were cold and wet but smiling and anxious to get back on the river.
Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same with the snow level coming down to 5000 feet tonight. We’re at about 5300 feet so guess what. A week ago we had record breaking warm temps.—only in Montana.
