Fishing this morning was slow to say the least. It was chilly, bright and things were just not happening. This afternoon made up for it, especially late afternoon. We picked up a few on cripples and then switched to #8 dry fly on a hunch and then things really started to happen. For about two hours the fishing was hot and it would have continued to be so but we had to be out at 5:00. Some thing about a social gathering. I severely admonished my client (in a nice way) and told him you can be social after the fish quit biting.
