Big Hole River 680 cfs—Maidenrock
Yesterday I had a couple calls concerning portaging the dam here at the pump station. I told them it was not much of a problem taking the boat through the settling pond as we normally do. That was yesterday and things have changed big time. In the process of getting the new temporary pumps going the water company is draining much of the pond. As it is now it would be very difficult to portage as the pics will show. How long this will last, I don’t know but will find out in the next couple days.
Fishing remains very good on top and under. Yesterday some stayed with nymphs as they were doing so good they didn’t want to change. I heard the same from others who were fishing top water.
Cool tomorrow and then a gradual warm up.
