First of all I would like to say that the photos of the diversion dams are not of the ones that extend all the way across the river and if I wasn’t so computer illiterate they would be on there. The best shots are the ones we took when we floated that stretch. These dams are going to be investigated on Wednesday so I have been told. One way or the other these photos will be in the gallery soon. I’m going up to the Missouri for a few days and when I get back I should know the results of the investigation — can’t wait.
Fishing on the Beaverhead yesterday was about the same as the other day. Some big fish coming up for tricos in the upper stretch in the morning and again the presentation has to be perfect. We didn’t have much luck with nymphs but got some big boys on streamers.
Art fished the Madison yesterday and caught several fish but all fairly small.
Phil Camera at the Prewett Ck. fly shop on the Missouri said the fishing up there was getting better since the weather cooled off some. We will be hitting it hard for the next few days with some very experienced fisherman so I hope to have a good report.
Forecast for the next couple days is fairly warm but by the end of the week it will be much cooler with a chance of rain or snow. I don’t care if the moisture is clear or white as long as we get some.
I would like to thank all the people who have contacted me offering their support on the Big Hole issue and I would like to hear from more.
I should have a very interesting report for you in a few days.
