GUIDED FISHING

Here at Great Divide Outfitters we love to show you the best of Montana’s rivers. There is no better way to do that than to spend a day in a raft or drift boat with a guide. A float trip down the river will give you a whole day to absorb the knowledge of a patient and willing guide. In additional to guided float trips, you have the option to choose from walk/wade trips, multi-day guided fishing with lodging, and options on private ponds.

Are you new to the area? A guide will help you to key in on the local fish, the entomology and the features of the river.

Have you never held a rod before? We have guides who can take you from learning to cast, reading the water and landing your first fish.

Maybe you have fly fished all of your life; new and different guides can teach you new techniques, and different spots to chase fish.

When you book a day with us, ALL of your equipment is included. We offer top-of-the-line Scott Radian Fly Rods to our clients to use while using our guide services. All of your flies are also included in the rate; remember, “If your not loosing flies, your not fishing the right spot!”.

Full Day Float or Wade trips $550.00/day (2 anglers per boat)

Includes a full day on the river with a guide, stream side lunch, rods (or bring your own) and terminal tackle. We recommend scheduling in advance, especially during June and July. Guide gratuity and MT fishing license not included.

Fly Fishing Vacations

Want to leave the stress of planning the details of your vacation behind? You can fly to Montana and have an entire vacation already scheduled for you. Options include fishing every day, or alternating fishing with exploring all that Southwest Montana has to offer. These packages also allow you to fish several different rivers, so you can truly experience all of the blue ribbon trout streams. Great Divide Outfitters has numerous lodging options around the Big Hole Valley that can accommodate varying group sizes and budgets. Visit here to read about lodging options around Divide.

Float and Camp

It does not get any better than camping along a Montana river and waking up to float down it the next day. We can accommodate float and camp trips along the Big Hole and Blackfoot Rivers. A three day minimum is required for this type of trip. And don’t worry about packing along all of your extra camping gear, we provide high quality tents, cots, sleeping pads and bags. Please contact us for further details!
