Lousy Day

Big Hole River 1030 cfs

This would have been the day to go golfing as there was not much action on the Big Hole. This is probably the slowest day I have had for a month or so.
Late yesterday afternoon we had one hell of a storm blow through. There was heavy rain, wind ripping branches off trees and hail. This was not a small localized storm as it seemed to cover from Wisdom, Butte and Dillon. It brought the river up by about 200 cfs.
We got into a few fish but it was tough sleddin.
Conditions should be back to normal by tomorrow.
How about that flow—-end of July and the Big Hole is still running 1000 cfs.
August fishing with tricos, moths and hoppers will be excellent.
