Big Hole River 2340 cfs. temp. 57, visibility 2 feet
The good news is that when I ran a shuttle down to Brown’s Bridge there were caddis fly’s all over the place. The short time I watched there I didn’t see any fish come up for them. That was mid day and I imagine that by this evening that will have changed.
The bad news is that it reached eighty degrees today and the river is rising. The clarity is still good at about two feet. The next couple days the temp. is forecast to be about the same. The caddis will continue to come out but will the fish be looking for them if the river is rising too fast? We’ll find out tomorrow as I’ll be on the river all day.
