The old San whammy

Big Hole 570cfs Water temp. 43

It’s been snowing since this morning but two hearty souls from Whitehall, Mt. with their drift boat in tow showed up at the shop wanting a shuttle. They came back about 5:00 pm, cold and wet but wearing big smiles. They started out with a San Juan worm and had such good luck with it, they stayed with it all day and caught bookoo fish-14 to 18 inches. I wonder if they had tried bologna, they might have caught a bigger fish?

I thought, if they had such good luck with a San Juan, I’ll close the shop and wander down to the river and really nail them with streamers. I caught one.

  1. I just noticed on your weather ticker, that you have a snow advisory in effect. Crazy Divide weather.

  2. You gotta love it, this is Montana and if you got enough brass, get out there and enjoy it.

  3. Well, actually, we’re heading down to Moab for four days of mountain biking tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be in the upper 70’s to 80’s. So you can keep your friggin’ snow advisories. But I’ll be thinking of you while were out on the slickrock.
    ;-P
